Summer Vibes Container

It’s not exactly a full 4th of July red, white and blue but it is close! This container has been a favorite in the Summer of 2023. It’s bright, it feels festive and the plants all grow together beautifully! Every day we see hummingbirds coming to visit the cuphea.

The Superbena Stormburst is definitely the highlight. It’s a big, vibrant plant but I feel like the cuphea can compete pretty well and the two of them alone would be enough. The petunias and superbells are able to compete hang as well, although I did also tuck in eucalyptus which hasn’t really kept up but it is still alive.

And as the season goes on the container just gets better and better! Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

• Superbena Stormburst

• Superbells Romance

• Vermillionaire Cuphea

• Baby Blue Eucalyptus

• Headliner Petunia

Directions:

Plant in at least a 14 inch hanging basket! Fertilize weekly and enjoy!

*Watering is very hard in coco fiber lined containers and this container will start to need lots of water as the season goes on. I water by placing the hanging basket in a tube with a couple inches of water. I let it soak for a few hours and it has helped a lot to keep the container hydrated!
